Project Sharing Questions

Postby SkybornSentinel » Tue 24. Sep 2019, 17:47

Hello.

I am an engineering student at Arkansas State University. I am part of a design team working on a 3DOF flight simulator as our project for senior design. We are in the early stages of the project, but we are interested in using x-sim in our final design. I am wondering how it is best for us to post our project in the gallery. Should we create a post now, even though we're still in the early design stages, and update it as we go, or should we wait until we have more completed and post it then?

Also, how far into design and fabrication do we need to be in order to earn a Stage 2 key? Does that require we are finished with our fabrication, or is just a thorough design plan sufficient?

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Hi,

you should post a finished simulator, not a design study.
You can do the design study in Unity and connect X-Sim to unity to control the transformation of the simulator in it. It is called visual export (6 axis max.) and it uses shared memory with C#.
For a stage 2 key, you need a full build instruction.

Best regards
