Compatible iOS apps for Dashboards

Postby wptm » Mon 18. Nov 2013, 22:47

Hello,

I've read a thread (http://www.x-sim.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=1162&p=9502&hilit=ipad#p9502) where with DashCommand app you could make the connection to Extractor and was working the dashboard app. Also watched the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=7cOyTEN27Yk .
I've found a free app called iOBD2, from XTOOLTECH which can be switched to ELM327 and then the Wi-Fi address can be given. Then I tried to connect and after a while it says Error, the connection was lost. The wifi settings are ok, it's not an immediately error. I tested what happens if an other IP is given, and the result was different then.
I've also tried out an other app called OBD Gauges, from Bars. It's not free but cheap enough to play with. I could not use this also.
I've switched off the firewall also. But did not help.

Do I make something wrong? Or are these apps not compatible with Extractor?

Thanks Vicpopo. Yes, I did. I've used the latest 3.0.2.9 version.

Did you also check the settings of router? Maybe Port is blocked there.

played around a bit and came up with this https://www.dropbox.com/sh/dfa6iuri3x7v ... IAGK/x-sim
it is a dashboard app for iOS (if you have it jailbroken). works as expected with race07 and should work the same with games that provide telemetry info: gear, speed, rpm, temperature, etc.
to use it, configure the Extractor network cluster with the IP address of your device, start the xSimGauges app and tap the game controller icon (top right). after that, if it receives any data, a small dial center bottom should 'spin' 2425. it auto-adjusts max values and changes colors to red when close to max values for speed, rpm and temperature 2424.
enjoy!
