Do I need a H Bridge witha pololu 12v12?

I'm looking into re-starting my Simulator project.

I am looking at the polulu 12v12 but I am wondering if these can handle the amps itself or if I need a hbridge?

I was going to plug it up to 3 winch motors (1 polulu per motor) and car batteries..

You don't need H-bridge, Pololu JRK 12v12 is controller and h-bridge in one. But it has some Amp limitation, it can run up to 30amps continuous with spikes up to 40A only for few moments, thats the upper limit.

What specs are your winches? How many amps they draw under load?
