Question about "Advanced motion controls"

I have a Joyrider Setup with an arduino uno and moto monster shield and have had problems getting it to work correctly. forgive me but its all confusing to me even though I have read tons of forums on it. I still cant get the motors to quit turning constantly. So I ran across some Servo Drives called Advanced Motion Controls on EBAY and they use these in simulators also, has anyone had any dealings with these before. Im thinking it would be easier than having to build a motion controller seeing how its already ready. My joyrider is based off thanos design with wiper motors and pulleys.
Please advise.
