I made some quick research yesterday evening and yes it's certainly a driver, but not a logitech driver; I have no Logitech peripherique.
Maybe my USB-TTL converter want to put data into a wrong memory? I'm not an expert but i understand that.

My PC never crash when i use it (rf2, Asseto Corsa,...) without software to control my rig.
Last month i try Sim-tools and i had not a big crash of my computer but one of the 2 soft closed by itself with no reason.

That why i think of data sending to the kangaroo.

Perhaps you drive it too fast? This software has changable update rates for actuators and a benchmark test window for the interfaces. For now I only got the posts from you that the device does not get detected then suddenly bluescreens but get detected. That is different to the other users.

Did you removed that "software" from the "other" site? I think it may be still running in the background...

It could be a sabotage issue... I wouldn't trust software from "unknown" sources... ;)

The "other" software is not running on the background, i close it manually.

With help of a friend (better in computer than me) i run whocrashed software, and all my crash came from the "Prolific USB-to-Serial Bridge Cable" for different reason.

(example: ser2pl64.sys Prolific Technology Inc. Prolific USB-to-Serial Bridge Cable,...)

I have another one converter USB-TTL, with CP2102 chip, i will try with just this converter.

Now it's detected. and i can run my rig. i program "X-sim converter" like the youtube tutorial says on home page and it's very good *

but after some second i think so much informations arrives on this bad converter and make my computer crash.

I try tonight another USB-TTL converter.

Ok, so after long test it's running without crash or bug.

To resume Kangaroo and X-sim work well with the right converter USB-TTL:

This converter USB-TTL is OK: (with CP2102 chip)

This converter USB-TTL is NOT OK:

Hello Telfel,

Looking good there!

I was wondering if you have experience with connecting a Syren-motorcontroller to the kangaroo x2? I have the kangaroo x2 working perfectly with a sabretooth 2x25 but it keeps giving me problems with the Syren10. Have you got it working with a Syren-motorcontroller? According to the manual it should work but I keep having problems.

Keep up the good work and thanks in advance for your answer,
Bart

Hi Bart

I have only used the kangaroo with the Sabertooth, have you more details of your problem?

Is it working then a fault? or not working at all, I take it you are using the same kangaroo? Is the address and baud rate setup ok?

Are you using a battery to power the sysren?

You can also contact DE via their homepage, they are very helpfull and normally reply within a couple of working days

Hello Terry,

I am using a computerpowersupply and a very small motor (no load connected):

http://www.robotshop.com/en/12v-58rpm-6 ... coder.html

And since it works with a sabertooth 2x25 the powersupply should not be the problem. And I am using the same kangaroo with correct dipswitch settings (address and baud). I also posed the question on dimension engineering. The only thing I get when tuning starts is a small start (the axis changes a little bit) and than a fault. Tried everything, no result. Hopefully dimensionengineering will give a solution.

Thanks for the response and good luck with the project,
Bart

Hi Bart

Do you get any fault description in the describe auto tune window? I've had on autotune motor starts oscillating the stops, then in the window bar it reports no feedback.

also does the sysren require a battery in parallel with psu to absorb the regen braking? or perhaps just try it on a car battery.

regards Terry
