Hello everyone. I want to ask whether they can be connected in parallel MOSFETs behind the H-bridge, so I increased their capacity.

Hi ,

Just to report what I noticed.
I always use the awesome amc1.6 controler and last time ( it happens twice) when I launched converter it runs continuously .I noticed on the screen that it was blocked on the kangaroo interface .So I decided to unplug the amc1.6 and just simultanously converter opened .
As I didn't use the kangaroo interface I unchecked it on converter .After made I re-pluged the amc1.6 and everything works well.
I suppose the problem comes form the managing of the com port .

Hello !

I'm about to enter the 2DOF family :D
I went through the 43 pages briefly.... wow !!!
I was wondering if there were some new PCB compared to the ones on the first pages. I spotted some infos on pages 3 and onwards for opto PCB and H drivers. Are those also available ? Living in France, would you recommend a PCB manufacturer (I spotted a french guy in the forum but would he be ready to manufacture some )?
I have also probably missed some generic info such as the wiring for sabertooth modules and other power modules. A "cheat-sheet" in the first post would be great.
By the way, is it possible to connect directly small PWM hobbyist micro-servo to the AMC board to do some card testing ? (I used to do some R/C cars ...)

Now I'm waiting for my components order to arrive, and FTDI board to make its way from ebay to me....

Cheers, and happy new year !

Hello everybody! Please help. I have a problem with old MAC 1.5. Controller gives only high values for POT 2, in range 800-1023. When I turn pot to minimum (around 800) controller shuts down. I tried with new pot and new ATmega8535, but it didn't resolved the problem. Obviously, some part of AMC is damaged. Any idea? See video below

Well well well.....
I have built the AMC 1.6 card but I have an issue I'm not able to troubleshoot. I programmed the ATMega644 succesfully (including fuses) using my AVR ISP MKII programmer:

Code: Select all
C:\Users\vincent\Documents>atprogram -d atmega644 -t avrispmk2 -i isp write -fs --values 0xffdcff
Firmware check OK
Write completed successfully.

C:\Users\vincent\Documents>atprogram -d atmega644 -t avrispmk2 -i isp program -c  -f "c:\Users\vincent\Desktop\18.4320 and 22.1184 crystal\fw11h18.bin" --verify
Firmware check OK
Programming and verification completed successfully.

C:\Users\vincent\Documents>

Code: Select all
C:\Users\vincent\Documents>atprogram -v -d atmega644 -t avrispmk2 -i isp info

But the LCD remains empty. I havent connected any pots yet or anything else. Should something be displayed immediatly upon power/reset of the board ?
On the USB/serial I have also something strange: I wired TX/RX/+5/GND of my adapter but terminal doesn't output a single car. When resetting the AMC, after 3 or 4 seconds the TX LED blinks constantly.

Any idea of what is happening ?

Thanks for your help.

I think avrdude works with hex files... the firmware is in bin format... hmmm

Thanks

Hello,

It is not avrdude, it is the atprogram binary file that comes with AVRStudio and it supports .bin files:
http://www.atmel.com/webdoc/atmelstudio ... ility.html

So the problem is somewhere else. But if you could provide a .hex file (for 18Mhz crystal) I could make double sure the problem is not this one.

Cheers,
Vincent

Hi, I make a simple observation ,
you have tried to change pot ? have you checked the cables of the pot and the PCB connection ?
