Yes, your picture shows now the problem.
The part of the lower box shows what X-Sim sends. Compare this with the picture in the first post of this thread which shows a working setup.
You will see for example the ptr... commands are sended.
The response is completely other than shown on this picture. It looks like defective.
This can have two reasons:
a.) there are interferences while receiving (use 120 Ohm resistor or 1m cable)
b.) the setup with the diadics config tools was changed by someone. Where you bought the SCN5?
c.) if not done so far: check the drivers are actual for the RS485 converter, do not use the ones which comes with the adapter. CHeck the device manager, there might be a advanced dialog box where you can change the timings to zero delay.
http://www.usconverters.com/images/ftdi ... ttings.jpg
Latency timer to zero, check on serial printer.
try to increase the timings in the SCN5/6 dialog box of X-Sim by 10-100ms as test (redo this after the test).
If a answer is correct or did help you for a solution, please use the solve button.

No

Your adapters are idiot save, Mirai do deliver normally in standard setup.
The resistor comes in RS485 wires from green to white, but you cable is short, you do not need this.

Try now this dialog:
download/file.php?id=112&mode=view/electorinterfacesetting.gif
and set switching time to 10,receive delay 5 and switching timeout to 100.
