RacingMat,

I just asked because I'm the author of rfactor2python and I wanted to understand your difficulties.
It's (rf2py) main purpose is to facilitate plugin development since Python is an interpreted language and it's (very) high level too.

The only requirement is Python 2.7 32bit. No real hassle.

Cheers

Congratulations!
Be sure there is no issue with your software

Hi RacingMat,
In fine , which solution do you use to detect the grip loss ?
I use the RF dll to make other stuff and I would like to integrate this.
Thanks you

Hi Ffbboy30!

I customised the internal rFactor plugin and I coded 2 modes:
- wheel.mGripFract above a %
- difference between wheel.mRotation and vehicle speed above a %

There is also 2 possibilities in the computing :
using the 4 wheel's maximum or the 4 wheels mean value or the 2 front wheels or ...

At the moment, without this fine tuning, the feeling is that the vibration is somewhat too weak and a bit too late.
Maybe my Hbridge is too cheap!

but I'm too busy on my RFR wheel at the moment! :D and some driving on RRRE and AC
I'll post some pictures as promised!

So your going to get vibrating motors and use circuit and usb interface with x-sim.

So you can mount onto any pedal set like G25?

Inside the rFactor plugin, I open a serial communication directly to my Arduino nano through USB cable : no need of Xsim in this case.

But can use x-sim if want to? I am thinking of Assetto Corsa.

Hi RacingMat, I was looking for exactly what you did, but I have no skills with programing.

Is there any possibility in sharing your plugin ??

Hi kbssa!

My plugin needs some tuning: I found that the reaction should be a bit earlier.
I have to investigate hardware (Hbridge, powersupply instead of batteries) and software (value of parameters).

Maybe bass shaker would be quicker and more powerful than motor: i'll try dayton puck's but i'll have to modify the code.

I started to dig what I have done last summer... :-/
Here are some pictures first:
fixing the motor under the brake pedal
2596 2597 2598
Hbridge to control the motor 2600
Electronic: arduino Nano, Hbridge, battery 2599

but as I said, motor is maybe not powerful enough or Hbridge not efficient enough:
I wish to try a linear actuator such as solenoid actuator

Does someone has experience on linear solenoid?
