My Simulator

Postby menix » Tue 12. Feb 2013, 14:59

Hello Friends
I want you to introduce my selfmade Simulator.
Using: (at the moment)
1x K8055
1x Sabertooth 2x25
2x Wheelchairmotr 180W, 8 A, 24V
Power SUpply 24v 40A,
Input: changeable from Microsoft Siedewinder FFB Wheel to Hotas Cougar Flightstick
Tests with Vellemann Demo succesfull.
Some Problems with X-Sim because Potis Vellemann etc.
I like Flightsims , Coasters and Car driving
This is for what i need this kind of sim.
So i decide to take Motors instead of actuators because my favorite is flightsims
i try to ad a little video für the motion
but you have to know that i am a totally noob in electric.

here the youtube link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LntV7NA ... e=youtu.be

Here are som pics

Waiting for my new Potis. I havent known that the Potis must have a full Rotation for good movement, mine are 10 gear potis without gears.
So i decide to buy 3 gear Poti with a 2:1 gearbox to have exactly the movement i want.

Some pics of my X-Sim Setup, i dont know if its right or not
Comments are welcome

Interesting concept, well done, it looks like it's working just fine. Big projector screen, I'm sure it's gonna be fun :)

Great job!
I did something similar, but not as far as you have!
Tried both electric and pneumatic!
Here is the video for pneumatic!

I reckon a DIY BFF actuator would go well with this set up

I bought the plans and I am currently working on a shorter design for race.

i have this Dual H-Bridge
http://www.ebay.de/itm/330854284636?ru= ... 26_rdc%3D1

My first Problem is, the cables of the PSU Unit and the Motors are to big for the Driver.
What can i do to fit the cables in??

Hi

Answer to your cable problem have you looked at crimp on ferrule,

I had one of those H bridge lasted less than 30 sec before it failed, 24v 375w motor.

I see you have a sabertooth h bridge, can I ask why change?

regards Terry
