Some pics of the motion systems that I finally used.

Thanks Bob,

Maybe Im just a smooth driver :D

JRK
PID P:1, I:0, D:5
would you suggest more Derivative to give more bumps - I'm open to any help.

Xsim3 Converter
Initially I found that to much movement messed with my head!

I use a seat shaker also , so I feel the bumps through the seat.

Yeah, I reduced the Mean Value filter from 30 (!) back to 12 and I now feel all the gear shifts etc. - much more realistic.
As I am new to the profile stuff, it will take some time to sort it out.
Can you put more than one input into the math setup for each motor? I did not know you could do this.

At the risk of repeating myself!!
Below I have given a bit more explanation on some of the things I have done on my sim.

Pitch Axis Motion. This is the final system that I have used. It works very well and has all the backlash removed from the system. The curved belt guide are same radius as the distance from the pivot point and so no slack is introduced when the system is displaced away from the center position.

The wiper motor has a shaft on the output that duplicates the puley/belt system on the other side of the pitch frame. I found this necessary to eliminate and twisting moments when the accelerating of deaccelerating in the pitch motion. ( works really well )

The transverse shaft is supported at the end by a bearing.

The Roll Axis motion is similar but allot simpler as there are no twisting forces to deal with.

Again, the belt is supported on a guide that is on the same radius from the pivot point. ( missed some paint :o )

I have used 2 Pololu JRK's. I made a mounting system to hold the boards in place whilst firmly holding heat sinks onto the controller IC's. The boards and heat sinks are held in place by a spring clip/wire. A cooling fan turns on when 12v supply is turned on.

I have fitted 2 of 12v solinoids to switch the 12v Battery supply to the JRK's. The solinoids are controlled by a toggle switch. ie: the Batteries are disconnected from the system by operation of the switch when the sim is not in use. ( I could also wire the switch through a Emergancy Stop button in the future)

No, everything is Isolated. I have a mylar insulating strip around the capacitors to make sure it does not touch the heat sink.

I will try changing the baud rate in the PC,JRK and Xsim to see if that makes a diference.

Yes, I think it deserves a stage2 key as well.

Very smooth motion and large degrees of angles. Cool!

For the vibration lack I would suggest adding a percent of heave effect in your pitch axis motion. It will shake things more a little bit.

Thanks Bob,Thanos, Dave floriske and Sirnoname for your support.

The Proflie at present:
Pitch axis - Londitudinal Force 100%, Mean Value Filter 12, Vertical Force 20%, Gear Shake Effect 5%, Pitch 20%, Slider set at 40%
Roll axis - Lateral Force 100%, Mean Value Filter 12, Roll 15%, Ingame Joyaxis X 15%, Slider set at 65%
(also have a seat shaker) I mainly sim race open wheelers where a smoother driving technique generally is better, so I have probably leaned more
toward smoother motion effects from habit.
I am gradually dialing in more effects as my brain gets trained! :D

Yes I would be happy to repost my finished(? :? ) project and present it in a more sequencial form. I have always reduced the image sizes used in my posting
to make it easier to upload. But if Sirnomame would like some high res images I would be happy to do this.
