Hi Fabi,

Thanks for sharing your awesome simulator !!

Really , really impressive job , congratulations ! ;)

In the Thanos amc1280usb , what is your setup, for max speed ? Did you leave the nominal motor rpm or did you reduce it?

Very nice work, and i can see a very good working 6dof ! :o

Can you make a short clip, when you jump into the Seat from your sim ? (It looks a bit high, in my view)

keep it up ! :)

best regards

I left the speed on 100% in Thanos's board.
Motor RPM is 1386. And gears are 70:1, ending up on 19.8 RPM (Thanos's recommendation were 20 RPM, and I need to admit that this is perfect ;) )

You can find some more details from the PID settings etc. on my blog

Will do a clip soon

In the meanwhile have a look to the measures here:

On the photo, the platform is not in parking position; however if it is in parking position, "enter" the cockpit is like a "stair" with 3 steps (34 cm, 60 cm, 90 cm),more comfortable than entering the cockpit in a Cessna 172

I used to step on the gearboxes of the motors to get on it with no problem (Richard's sim). The construction is very sturdy and there are lots of "handles" to hold while climbing on it. As Fabian said, its still easier than climbing into a Cessna (or TB-9 on my case)...

Hello all,

Fabian thanks you for showing how you go into your 6DOF.

I use them myself a 2DOF in the crate I have a like in a normal car. :)

I'd build me in the future a 6DOF (10 Years ? ) :D

You and Thanos inspires me with our 6DOF Sims well done !

best regards

1. The inverter that I found is Shnider ,VFD, 1hp, 220v, 3 phase output, 1 phase input. Other type is LS IC5 with same specs
2. AC motor 1/2 hp 1400rpm with gear 70:1
3. potentiometer 10 and 5 turn, will it work (can I use it ?)
4. I did not found a MagnePot Non-Contacting Rotary Position Sensor, Is the potentiometer is enough ?
5. I did not found braking resistor in Egypt, Is it a must ? Can I make the 6DOF without it ?
6. Are there any other parts do you recommend ?
7. Is the sound of 6 motors will be very loud and noisy to extent that will annoy the neighbors ? sorry for this question
please help me
