3DOF neu project

Postby Greg1976 » Sat 6. Sep 2014, 11:22

Hi all
I would like to build 3 DOF motion simulator. I never did it before. I checked already some information but still have questions
Of course I will put all my detail information during my project on X-Sim and share with all.
I need help with motors and the electronics. The frame I will do from stainless steel. All frame parts I can do by myself or buy. The side slope should be about 35 degree.

Here the quastions.
1. DC or AC motors. If AC motor then 220 or 380V and how strong? Need to carry about 300kg, quick.
2. Which electronic parts do I need?

I don´t want to use a spring in the middle like some constructions.
The software I would like to use is ( X-Sim converter and x-sim extractor)
Would be nice if some one can help me.
Regards
Gregor

Hi Creg,

Without center post, you might want to use the idea of something like this:
http://www.inmotionsimulation.com/products.html#3 DOF Electric (Low Profile)

And no center post means no spring for counter balance. So AC motors would be required preferably, about 0.75HP each one, or less depending on your load and motion speed requirements..

Thanks
