Project Cars 2 "Waiting for game"

Postby bugcrash » Sat 14. Oct 2017, 19:43

Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated, VR and racing just not the same without x-sim motion simulator!

I am trying to start Project CARS 2 using x-sim Motion Extractor. I have created 2 txt files and placed them in the C:\Program Files (x86)\X-Sim\Plugin\wizard_scripts folder (shown below) one named ProjectCars2 steam.txt and one ProjectCars2.txt. The Heuristic game wizard has found the pCARS2.exe. I made a copy of the ProjectCars.dll and named it ProjectCars2.dll and placed it in the "plugin" directory. When I launch the "Play Game" button from within the extractor, I get the "Waiting for Game" and button stays gray, it did launch game but now does not. Even when the game launched that "Waiting for Game" never went away like it does when it says "Game Detected" I do not hear the woman's voice saying "Game Detected".

Any ideas?? Thank you, Mike

Update: It wasn't launching the game due to a game update thru STEAM. So the game does launch but the "Waiting for Game" dialog pop-up still remains and never hear "Game Detected" :)

I did a quick search that brought me to pcars 1 maybe this information is useful to fix the problem even on the first game so the game does not stop and maybe you can upgrade the plugin with more data

the new udp patch has not been released yet but I think very similar to the old one you can update the old plugin to avoid data loss after 20 minutes without using the dedicated launch
