My name is Carmelo, i'm 30 and i live in Italy.
I discovered this F++KING NICE COMMUNITY of crazy people like me about driving simulation and this is simply FANTASTIC!
I hope to learn soon about making my first sim.
This forum is really helpfull, but i would like to suggest something.
For a newbie like me, It is really difficult to learn how to build the sim system, in particular how to connect motors with computer.
I saw a lot of projects here, and many of them ar similar.
Why don't you write a topic where you explain step-by-step how to build, just for starting, a " STANDARD" 2DOF sim? It is the easiest, and this is exactly what a new guy wanna know when he comes here!
It would be fantastic for a newbie like me to now:
- what exactly i need to buy;
- how to assembly them together;
- how to set computer command to make the system works.
For example.
if you wanna build a standard and working 2DOF sim you need:
- arduino
- 2 motors tipe ****
- etc.. etc..
Maybe with a link on the specific item.
It would be fantastic!

Mi chiamo Carmelo, ho 30 anni e sono della provincia di Messina.
Questa community è semplicemente fantastica. Ho sempre avuto il desiderio di poter giocare a un gioco di guida nel modo più realistico possibile, e di recente sono venuto a conoscenza della simulazione delle forze, e sono letteralmente impazzito! E poi ho scoperto Oculus Rift e CIAO! Abbinare un simulatore di forze con OR è l'esperienza quanto più vicina alla realtà.
Come scritto sopra, data la vostra profonda competenza, perchè non fate un topi dove spiegato passo passo come costruire, ad esempio, un 2DOF " STANDARD" giusto per divertirsi come si deve? E' il simulatore più semplice a quanto ho capito, ed è esattamente ciò che un appassionato sernza esperienza cerca la prima volta che viene a visitare questo fantastico sito.
Sarebbe bello poter sapere già da subito cosa comprare, come collegare i motori al pc e come settare i movimenti. Ad esempio, per noi italiani, sarebbe FANTASTICO sapere anche i nomi in italiano degli accessori, cosi andiamo a colpo sicuro!
Cioè, con wiper motors si intende veramente un motore tergiscristallo?!?! E ce la fa a fare alzare un sedile con un nerd seduto li sopra?! Ecco, sapere queste cose sarebbe di vitale importanza!
Spero accogliate di buon occhio la mia proposta.
