Hi all,

Renoboss (Dutch) registering for 3rd time. Not reading the welcome-rules, so not posted in "the say hello thread".

First simulator: RnR with SMC-pneumatics and Velleman board. (sold and exported to FInland)
2nd simulator: Frex Simconmotion (2DOF)

Current mods: -Simconmotion rebuilt to RS-485 interface and trying to operate it with X-sim !!

So greetings to all !!

Hello, I'm from Spain, and I love Project Cars, I want to improve the inmersion by using xsim to control the buttkicker, and probably in the future make a 2 axis rig...

Hi, this is the obligatory "hello-post" on this forum to get to use x-sim for free for control of my buttkicker/sound-transducer setup. I can see myself getting more serious into driving-sims eventually since I've really enjoyed Dirt Rally last year and been upgrading hardware around that fact since then. My setup, as of yet, is a Thrustmaster T300RS Wheel with modified (vanilla-) pedals, a 21:9 ultra-wide monitor, TrackIR5 headtracking and a potent PC. The body-shaker, which is a Visaton 50W RMS @ 4 Ohm model is powered by a 1000W (@1 Ohm) mono-block car-amp (on an old pc power-supply) and is mounted beneath my desk-chair. I love the kind of immersion it adds to the racing-experience and will try to improve my online-profiles for Dirt Rally, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars (eventually) and maybe more later.

Hello Everyone, :D
My name is Alan and I am a 48 year old IT Technician from Scotland.
I have been an avid sim racer for quite a few years now (Forza lobby racing with Fanatec CSR kit).
Yes! Yes! Yes! It is sad I know but it gave me the bug and made me good at avoiding first corner pile ups lol
When Microsoft decided it would not allow 360 peripherals to be used on their xbox1 I started looking into pc based racing. With this also came a notion for motion. After weeks of research on commercial motion rigs I came to realize that they were just to expensive for me.
Then 1 day while drooling over commercial rigs on Youtube I stumbled upon a DIY rig video that had a link to x-sim.de. I could not believe my luck! So much information. So many helpful like minded enthusiasts. I have learned so much in such a short period of time.
I have decided to build a 2DOF simulator following the design and build instructions RacingMat has posted http://www.x-sim.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=943#p8481.

I do not know how long it will take for me to build and have no doubt the challenges will be many but the result will be well worth the time and effort.

Best wishes to all.

Alan
