error writing on serial com 2

Postby arne » Tue 14. Apr 2015, 16:54

Hi,

My simulator works great if I play dirt 3 with my keyboard. But I get this error when I plug my racing wheel (logitech g27) in my computer. Can somebody helps me?

Error on writing is a error behind the init of the comport. This comes mostly because of instable USB devices. In your case the Arduino on Com2 say there was a short disconnect. You can check this with a USB device logger or the free serial port monitor. A disconnect can be caused bacause of power is going over the USB cable. From the motor. Interferences or power. There is somewhere a totorial from yokoyoko for make good mass connection to your motors and remove some connections to ground.

But why works the simulator with the keyboard. It shouldn't work if its from the motors, or not?

I found my problem. I isolated my pedals of my steering wheel, so there isn't electrical contact with the frame. Everything works fine now :D
