Do you have any idea were can i find "try send data" on x-sim soft . I am not able to find it

it's an feature of older x-sim releases (<3.0.0.6) - use the play game instead.

Is your Arduino shown as Com3 in the interface plugin (USB XPID)? Did you refer to this link http://www.x-sim.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=673?
hmm, did you read the pololu thread for the setup between math and interface?

I am having the exact same issue as you guys with my jrk losing communication and here is what i found. BTW i'm an industrial electronic technician...
I would like to know if you think this can help.

http://www.circuitsathome.com/products- ... -and-kits/

Seems to be the cheapest i can find.

Français:

J'ai le même problème de perte de communication avec mes jrk. Je suis sur que c'est un trouble électrique ( et en passant je suis tech en électronique industrielle  )
Je me demande si ces isolateurs usb aideraient...

in my case (i tried this http://www.poscope.com/pousbiso) it did not! I tried a usb isolator per port - no sucess - the problem/and solution is described in this post:http://x-sim.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=647&hilit=comport

My motors are not body ground and i still have this issue. With the new jrk plugins i get an error saying communication lost or something like that. I'm pretty sure i have some kind of induction between wires as my wiring is not the cleanest.

If i start my bass shaker it is worst and if my power supply ( the case is to ground) is touching my sim frame, than my Jrk automatically disconnect. I even got my wheel to recalibrate and my pedal did some weird things too. By touching the frame with a ground i think i am creating what is called a ground loop. The JRK's usb is to ground throught the pc and my power supply is grounded too. Of course by isolating the whole motor from the frame you will get rid of the ground loop but i think there should be an other way.

How many of you have their sim frame to the ground?

I did changed the cable before a couple of time...
i did modified my motor to be earth isolated ( i did fried a couple of JRK because of that... )
I am using the new JRK plugin
My power supply seems to be good ( i will use an oscilloscope tonight)
Even with that i had the issue

BUT:

Looks like i found a part of my problem. I played yesterday for 2 hours without any issues. All i did was to recable everything and making sure no power line ,etheir the 120V or the 15v (yes my wiper motors are running on 15v ) are near each others. Before i had my 15 v to my left moter tie wrapped to the 120v line to the psu. I think the induction was too high and causing some kind of current going back to the JRK. I moved my sim to do the rewiring and now i get some weird thing with my g27 and my CSP.I see them under Looks like my usb cable may cross other power line.

:?: Anybody can tell me if their simulator frame is grounded ? Still don't know if it is a good idea, not so much because of the motor but becaus of all the usb thing that is touching the frame.

So It turns out that everybody should make sure their wiring is clean and well placed, not like mine used to be...

Thanks BobBuilt! (where is the thumb up button?)

Yesterday i had another problem so everything will stay off for now as i will isolate everything... I too have blown a g25 and jrk because of a non-isolated motor, those are costly mistakes
