F1 2012 problem please help !!???

Hi,
I try to run F1 2012 with xsim but not successful at the moment. I use a steam version but if I start the game via the extrator which is ok and than the converter it appears a message "x-sim extractor not deteced". I have no pronlems with my other games. What could I do?

Any Help would be great

Ups, seems to be a buggy message. I would say the converter is not detected Start it!
Steam games have to be started with the steam app id as parameter. Do not start the executable.
Have a look here at the steam sentences:

And do the same with a rightclick on your game in the extractor game listbox on the left side.

seams a little bit more complicated than before. I try to do that.
Does that mean the hardware config. should not be changed like the other codemaster games (id 127.0.0.1 and extradata 1?

Hi,
I am realy lost! I have no idea what i have to change to set the game in the correct modus for running with the extrator.
In the link from sironame I can not find a codemaster setup and I am not an expert in such themes. If anyone had the same problem with the game it would be great if I can get a describtion of the solution.

at first, many thanks to sirnoname for help. The correct setting in wizzard solved my problem with F1 2012.

But there is an another issue. The game is running very unstable with xsim together. Many picture flickering and some times
the game stoped without any reason and the game goes into the menu mod. Without xsim the game is running stable. I use one PC with a quad processor. This is the first game in which I recognize this problem.
Has anyone similar problems or an idea to solve this situation?

Are you using a x86 or x64 Windows environment?

I remember a slow down playgame with x64 game instalation on x64 Windows using Xsim, but it was solved when I used a x86 Windows distr. and the x86 game install.

Check the game and x-sim is allowed through the firewall and maybe disable any anti virus.
I had the same problem with dirt showdown, slow fps rate and data incorrections.
I found that the game was not allowed trough firewall, once I fixed that, it worked.

Disable the graphic driver if it is enabled.
Can you verify your statement above?
Is the flicker only if you enable the output in the config file or is it only if you start 2012 with X-Sim?

you have the original version of f1...oder something like that!! i have no probs with f1, running quite stable! just 2 chrashes in many hours play time...but before the patched version!

I use the original steam version. Regarding the patches, how can I install a patch or is that an automatic process by steam?
