3DOF motion simulator with wiper motors

Hello,
I just realized a 3DOF dynamic simulator.
I built with the combination of a Velleman card VM140 + 2 Sabertooth 2X12A and 4 wiper motors.

Here is a short video showing it running.

be indulgent, finishes are not made.

range of motion seems low but with a system where only the seat is moving, the feelings are very good and realistic.

It is true that one must be careful to see all the effects.

It looks like you put a big spring instead of uni-joint / cardan, or is it someting else?

I think he use a cardan, but I like the idea of the big spring instead !

man, can you show us some pics of your motors, i would like to know how did you place them? since 3dof, using only wipers has been discouzed here, but it is the first time that some one actually "makes" it.

I also think I am the first to realize a dynamic simulator 3DOF with vertical effect with only wiper motors. However, I am surprised not to create more interest from sirnoname, vicpopo, tronicgr and the other members. It does not matter.
I'll post pictures when I have a little more time.

I think that you did not make more noice for some reasons:

* the big guys sirnoname and others dont like wipers, they like to use expensive "better" actuators...

but i am from the 3rd world, so cheap is grate!

* Also, maybe if you change the subject of your topic, maybe i will bring more interest you know marketing "frist vertical movement realized with wipers 50 hours and still rocking"


* also you published a video that do not show your grate achievement...


i think this sort of things created some "withe noice" or "static" and your achievement was not that "surpriced"



but you have some fans *......................... Show us some pics jajajjajajjaj
